Is anyone safe anymore? Noise Pop has gotten mobile with its first annual installment of NP Chicago. In partnership with Chicago based booking/management firm The Billions Corp., NP Chicago is expanding its patented secret formula to include the wide spectrum of indie rock, improvisational jazz, and DJ talent that is Chicago's independent music community. The lineup includes music legends (a re-united Wire, John Doe acoustic), college radio favorites (Modest Mouse, Sleater Kinney, and Apples In Stereo), and the best of Chicago (including a special collaboration between Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and studio prodigy Jim O' Rourke). To push the proverbial envelope, Noise Pop is also co-presenting The Fourth Annual Empty Bottle Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music, featuring world renowned artists, such as Ken Vandermark and the Chicago Underground Quartet. Hot!

The event features over 55 artists at 6 venues with an expected attendance topping 10,000, promising to make Chicago the biggest and coolest Noise Pop ever.
