Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden
Albeit far from Sweden, Kate Tucker and and the Sons of Sweden evoke their own scenarios amidst the fisherman and sailors of Ballard, on the Northwest corner of Seattle. Established in 2006, the band highlights the talents of Kate Tucker - guitars, vocals; Mark Isakson - reverb, delay; BJ Myers - guitars, vocals; Ed O'Brien- bass; and Cameron Herrington – drums. Their self-titled debut was produced by Ryn Hadlock of Blonde Redhead, Metric, and the Gossip fame. The result is Tucker’s subtle melodies and phrasing coinciding with the ethereal sensibility of the band.
Sound Magazine named them one of the top 10 bands to watch for in 2008. Currently, they’ve concluded their latest tour and are diligently working on their sophomoric release. Stay tuned!
