Tyvek
Tyvjk (formerly known as Tyvke, TVK and Tyvek) are five dudes from Detroit, Michigan who fit the Slumberland stereotype perfectly: archaic yet timeless, lazy but warm, and granular but still sweet. Their tunes, with heavily distorted, scratchy vocals, carry the honesty and excitement of early basement punk rock bands. Their brand of sixties old monster surf rock is immediately reminiscent of New Yorkers Cause Co-Motion!, with songs that sound like broken cassette track recordings. CAROLINE PARTAMIAN
