Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band
From out of the Northwest come a most splendidly peculiar outfit known as Mt. St. Helen’s Vietnam Band. A five piece fronted by husband/wife team Benjamin Verdoes and Traci Eggleston-Verdoes, who have the employ of their 13 year old adopted son on drums. Theirs is an eclectic mix of indie-pop and folk fusion which is sure to catch your ears. With a quick rise to local notoriety in the Seattle scene, MSHVB inked a deal with Dead Oceans and will be releasing their currently untitled full-length debut album in early 2009. ANDREW POHL
