Like a local bar band playing never-heard hits of long-forgotten 60's AM pop rock, Harbours tap into psych-pop perfection and deliver a decidedly vintage flavor in the SF music scene. Avoiding throwback clichés, Harbours recall the pop revivalists of the 80's and 90's, even occasionally reaching the heights of bands like R.E.M. and a less heady version of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, if they loved the Byrds as much as the Velvets. Currently, Harbours are working on a 2nd LP of modern indie - meets 60's revival sure to be a highlight of 2009. TYLER MCCAULEY
