Comets on Fire drummer Utrillo Kushner moves from drum stool to piano bench to lay the foundation for Ba Da Bing! band Colossal Yes. But while fans may look for the Comets on Fire hard psychedelic sound, you'll only find hints of it here. Colossal Yes is a rare side project that bears little resemblance to the founder's more well known project, resulting in something light, breezy, and thoughtful—more appropriate for a tranquil comedown than the early throes of a dip into the electric Kool-Aid.
